December check in #1
Dec. 1st, 2017 10:58 amHello everyone.
I hope you wrote all or at least some of the words you wanted to during November :)
I'm not seeing a lot of comments going on in these posts - and therefore not sure if these posts are helpful or not but let's keep going, the end of the year is near.
How close are you to your GYWO goal? Completed it? So close? Halfway? Plans for next year to increase, decrease, keep the same goal or try the new option of 'days written'?

Date: 2017-12-02 03:50 pm (UTC)Finally I have learned how to create a symphatic OC which is not full of sterotypes. I always found it a lot of fun to create OCs but usually I did not put that much efford in them ... then I stopped for a long time because I didn't felt the need for them.
Oh yes the last two months were a bit quite here, I hope we can chance that this month :)
As for the next year: As tempting as it is to pledge for 150K words, I won't do it, because there is so much that can happen in a year and just becase you had one good year writing wise doesn't mean, that you will get the same amount of inspiration in the next year, too.
I prefer to surprise myself next year just like I did this year.
I guess I will do the "Days Written" methode for myself.

Date: 2017-12-04 01:34 pm (UTC)I've exceeded my goal! I don't write every day. I'm not that kind of writer and I've made my peace with the fact I'll have zero words some days and 3k or even 5k other days, so I'll stick with words I've written over days I've written but I'm still uncertain on the 200k or the next level up :)

Date: 2017-12-07 11:34 pm (UTC)I have always tried to only write when I am in the mood for it. When I sit down and write I want to be proud of what I have written and not feel like I have done something I am supposed to do.
After all writing is just a hobby and nothing more. Luckily there are still a couple of days left to decide ;) But I guess I will challenge myself to the 150K just for the sake of it xD
Too bad there is no something betweet 75 and 150.

Date: 2017-12-08 03:28 pm (UTC)For me it is more than a hobby, I do hope to publish one day, but I still prefer to write when I feel inspired. Having deadlines for fiction always helps :)
Yes, 100k could be nice!

Date: 2017-12-03 06:05 pm (UTC)I met my GYWO goal by doing NaNo, whereas last year I struggled a bit :) I've done 200k this year and last year, and after only just making it in 2016 did not up the wordcount for 2017. I'm wondering if I should keep a goal I know I'm capable of or up the total next year to push myself :)
