Happy Thursday!
How is everyone doing? Meeting your goals? Procrastinating on the internet? Editing with purpose? Editing in despair? Dithering over Yuletide nominations or what fests so sign up for?

I wrote a summary of a fic I might use for the Black Sails Bang (I have two Small Fandom Big Bangs also in the works) and I wrote a 3400 word ficlet yesterday so I'm feeling I've had quite a productive week :)

Congratulations for finishing a story within a day :)

During the last days I wrote around 800 words every day which is quite good and now I am looking forward for three free days where I will hopefully get something done on my contest story since now I have the time to focus on it.

All in all I counted my words together and saw that I am doing quite good so far. Sometimes I don't really realize how much I actually write

Indeed. I am already over 12K for this half of the month.
Guess what, today I really began to write something for the contest story, even through I know I have to left out that part when I publish the story but I need some sort of flashback for myself to get into the story.

I am deep in Yuletide nomination coordination...which is serving as a procrastinatory tool when it comes to editing my Remix. /o? \o? But at least nominations close in a little less than 16 hours, so I'll have a bit of concentrated editing time after that...which will only be useful if my brain solves the editing problems I'm up against in the meantime. Blargh.

Which is to say: mostly this week has been on hold, writing-wise. Not exactly what I'd been hoping for.

I feel behind on everything! I am still making my daily word count goal MOST days, but that's really the minimum I want to get done and lately that's all that's getting done. I know this is just the reality of life with a toddler but the amount I want to get done vs. the amount of free time/energy I have does not add up!

Belated (at least partly due to procrastination! *face palm*) - no words, but some research - it sounds like you've had a very productive week :)

Research is also important. Whenever I do some research I have to reserve a lot of time for it, because I'm easily entertaint and I tend to search in all possible ways xD
But yeah lots of knowledge that I may never need again is gathered in my brain thanks to this

I even began to use pocket to organize sites I have used for certain stories. Pretty helpful, since you can add tags to the bookmarks there. And the best is that it is free and you can use it in on mobile devices too :)

I use books more than the internet to be honest (which may be a good thing, god knows what my search history would look like if I used the computer more! *heh*)

Research with books is awesome. Luckily I can do that whenever I want to search something medicine related :D
Believe me no one wants to know what kind of fucked up shit I have searched because of my writings xD And there are still some things I would like to know more about but I am a bit too chicken to search for that kind of stuff, cause you can easily end up on questionable sites and so on .__.
