Hahaha - so, yes, the late trend continues! I was actually intending to be a day late (to give the post before mine a little more time to run its course), but then yesterday got away from me, and somehow it's today and I'm two days late and, well, here we are!

So, friends, how's the writing going? Feel like you accomplished something since we last spoke? Having a problem you could use our help with? Staring at the screen, willing the words to come? Has life been getting in the way? Or has writing been getting in the way of life? Open up a comment and tell us all about it!

And for a more specific question: when you feel like you have a general sense of what a story needs to be even better, how do you figure out how to translate that into specifics?

I only just saw this as I work back through my reading page!

That's a good question. Brainstorming with someone can help. I lean towards dialogue so often I guess it'll be a conversation that brings the new aspect into the story.

Belated checking-in!

To answer your question, one trick I've found helps spark my creative brain when I'm working on a story but stuck with what to do next us to read or watch a story in the same genre. It gets my brain into the right groove.

That is a good questions. Sometimes I skip to another scene (when it is possible), I read something that is similair or I ask some friends for advice.

Lately I have a certain scene that is so far pretty well done and I really love it. But I am stuck on a certain point since around a month. No matter how often I re-read the last pragraphs to get back into the situation and no matter how much I look at pictures related to that scene I am unable to continue. It bugs me so much, since I know what I want to write next and I haven't even reached the best part yet .__.
